Frequently Asked Questions

Who is this group for?

This group is designed specifically for first-time moms with young babies who are looking for more connection, support, and trusted guidance as they adjust to motherhood.

You don’t need to be struggling or going through a particular challenge to join. The group is for moms who simply want a community of women who are in a similar stage of life.

When does the pilot launch and what is the timing?

We'll begin the last week of October 2026. We’ll meet once a week for four sessions, each lasting 90 minutes. To give you the best support, special guest experts—like pelvic floor therapists, doulas, and counselors—will join several sessions to answer your specific questions and lead helpful discussions. It’s all tailored to what you and your fellow moms need most during this time.

What is the cost and how many spots are available?

We're offering a special introductory rate of $100 for the full four-week program. To keep groups intimate and highly curated, we are limiting each group to just eight moms across Chicago with the goal to bring together a group of moms that live in the same area and in the same life stage with similar goals and needs.

Where will the group meet?

Modern Motherhood is intentionally built around in-person connection. Exact location details, parking information, and arrival instructions will be provided as soon as the group is selected and before payment is required to join.

Can I bring my baby?

Yes, yes and yes! There is no expectation that your baby will sit quietly for 90 minutes. Feeding, diaper changes, crying, walking around the room, bouncing a baby, or stepping away for a few minutes are all completely normal.

Also, if you prefer to come solo that is fine too! Sometimes we just need a break. :)

Is this a baby class?

Not exactly. There are already many wonderful resources focused on what your baby needs.
Modern Motherhood is intentionally centered around what moms need: community, honest conversation, practical support, and access to trusted experts while naturally addressing the baby-related questions that affect your everyday life.

What happens during each session?

Each 90-minute session will include a combination of:
• Time to connect and talk with the other moms
• A guided conversation around a topic that directly impacts moms
• Practical information, resources, or expert guidance
• Plenty of space to ask questions and share what you’re experiencing
• Some weeks will feature a guest expert, while others will focus more heavily on conversation and connection within the group.
